Do you have any in good condition hockey gear that you would like to get rid of? If so, please consider selling it or donating it to the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Swap and Shop. The Nanaimo Minor Hockey Swap and Shop will be held Sunday, August 18 at the Centennial Building located beside Cliff McNabb. This will be a fun filled day to get kids excited about getting back into the hockey season.

If you want to sell your gear, tables are available to purchase for $25 each. Tables can be shared and all profits you get to keep. Or, if you don’t want to purchase a table and just want to get rid of your in good condition gear please drop it off that morning and it will be sold at the twoonie table. For those that purchase a table, you are responsible to represent your booth for the entire day or until your gear is sold.

Set-up: 8:00 am – 9:30 am

Event: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Where: Centennial Building, 2300 Bowen St. (beside Cliff McNabb)

Equipment: All hockey equipment and dress clothes your child has grown out of.

The Nanaimo Minor Hockey Booster Club will be managing this event, but we will need some volunteers. Volunteer positions include: BBQ hot dogs, set-up, take-down and twoonie table sales. All funds raised from this event will support the Booster Club, a sub-committee of the NMHA responsible for creating fun events for NMHA kids and parents.

If you have any questions, please contact Heather at

More details will be released closer to the event.

Tables are limited and will sell out fast book soon to make sure you have your table!
