General Registration Information
The hockey season runs from September through March, ending around spring break. Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association welcomes players of all genders between the ages of 5 and 20. We offer a range of programs to suit different interests and skill levels, including integrated recreational teams, female recreational teams, and integrated competitive teams for higher-level play.

Waitlists
Some divisions may fill up quickly, and waitlists will be in place once team capacity is reached. Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association allocates a set number of teams and roster spots per division at the start of registration.If a division reaches capacity, we carefully review waitlist numbers to determine whether additional teams can be created or if roster sizes can be expanded. Decisions are based on overall demand and available resources.
Important: Even if a division shows a waitlist, we strongly encourage you to register. Joining the waitlist ensures your player is considered if space becomes available or if new teams are formed.
