Nanaimo Minor Hockey will be holding Phase 1 of our Regional Tier 1 ID Camp beginning April 8, 13 & 15, 2026
This is an open ID Camp for our Regional Tier 1 teams for the 2026-27 season. This is for U13 and U15 Tier 1 programs only. This is NOT extra ice time.
Phase 1 will be used for our coaches and evaluators to identify potential players for our regional programming in the 2026-27 season. Matt Hughes – NMHA Director of Hockey Operations will oversee forming an independent committee to evaluate the players. Players looking for feedback heading into the offseason can contact Matt directly via email nmhahockeyops@gmail.com
This will be an opportunity for our young athletes to enter an ID Camp following the conclusion of our season with minimal downtime, which should ensure that they are at their peak both performance and conditioning, thus allowing them to showcase themselves at the top of their game. It will also give us the opportunity to provide feedback to the athletes on what expectations will be for next season as well as things to work on over the summer. It is important to know that this is not the final phase of the process but a preliminary opportunity for the players to get an early idea of what next season will look like while competing with the players they likely be playing with or against next season.

Each player will have an opportunity in August to attend phase 2 after a summer of hard work, cost may be an extra $50.00 at the time.

U15 will be players in the birthyears 2012-13 U13 will be players in the birthyears 2014-15

Phase 2 will take place Aug 22 – 27, 2026, which will include all the U13 – U18 Tier 1 & Tier 2 players/goaltenders
